CE Marking
Insuring a sauna raft
CE marking of sauna rafts
In Sweden and the EU, there are a number of product areas that have specific requirements to be CE-marked in order to be sold. This means that the manufacturer must demonstrate that it has followed the safety requirements and the various directives and regulations concerning their area or product.
When it comes to leisure boats, they must be CE-marked to be sold in Sweden. We are proud and happy to have done this very thorough work on our sauna boats.
What are the benefits of this for you as a customer?
Firstly, when you purchase a CE-marked sauna boat from us, you can be assured that it is built in a safe manner that complies with the requirements of the Recreational Craft Directive. This certification is also what enables that our sauna boats can be insured with a proper boat insurance. On the Swedish market, our sauna boats are the only ones offering this possibility, meaning that you can take out an insurance policy that covers theft, liability, wear and tear, and fire under similar conditions to those for other boats.
Please note: Although CE marking facilitates the insurance process, we cannot guarantee that insurance will always be granted in individual cases, nor be held liable for the decisions of insurance companies.
This is particularly important to consider if you are planning to buy a sauna raft for an association, hotel, guesthouse, manor house or campsite. Even if you are going to moor the sauna boat at a boat club, it is important, as there are often insurance requirements.
For a sauna boat to be sold as CE-marked, an optional engine is required, as well as other optional extras. In its basic version, it is not CE-marked, but it can still be insured through our branded insurance in Sweden. Please note that we do not have agreements with insurance companies outside of Sweden.
Whether the sauna boat is purchased with CE marking or not, it is always stability-tested and built to a high quality.
