The transport to Odda, Norway, was a real adventure. The wide load made its way through narrow, carved-out Norwegian tunnels amidst heavy snowfall. Once at Odda harbour, the substantial sauna raft was safely lifted into the water with the help of a large mobile crane, ready for immediate use. To enable the raft to be driven on the fjord, it is equipped with a powerful Suzuki 30 hp four-stroke outboard motor. The raft is operated from a robust helm station on the foredeck, complete with a steering wheel, control panel, and an integrated digital display/reversing camera for safe navigation. The raft is equipped with a large, open roof terrace with sturdy railings – a perfect spot for cooling off, sunbathing, or admiring the magnificent Norwegian nature.
Inside the glass door, you are greeted by a spacious and bright anteroom equipped with practical benches in light aspen, which also function as storage boxes. The sauna itself is furnished with light, elegant multi-level benches and cosy, integrated LED lighting under the benches. The robust and high-quality wood-burning stove from Harvia guarantees outstanding heat and a genuine, traditional sauna experience.
Through the large glass panels, the surroundings offer a dramatic and magnificent Norwegian landscape with steep mountain sides and snow-covered peaks. The cold, fresh fjord water combined with the warm sauna truly embodies the perfect getaway.
