We recommend all our customers to use wood-fired sauna heaters over electric sauna heaters. When it comes to our sauna rafts, this is usually a given, as the fact that you want to be able to move and sauna in different places makes electric sauna heaters not an option.<\/p>\n

Wood-fired sauna stoves<\/h2>\n

We have chosen to use Harvia's wood-burning sauna stoves. For our smaller models Svea, Leo, and Livia, we use the Harvia M3. This sauna stove is well-suited to the space it is intended to heat. For those who wish to rinse off with pleasant washing water after finishing their sauna, we recommend a chimney-style water heater. From this, you can draw hot water and then obtain pleasant washing water to wash yourselves and the sauna with after your sauna session has concluded. If you do not want a water heater, we simply use fully insulated chimney pipes all the way from the sauna stove.<\/p>\n

For our other models, we use the Harvia 20 Pro. This sauna heater has a power output of a full 24.1 kW. There is also the option to add a built-in water tank at the front for heating washing water. In that case, the stove is called the Harvia 20 ES Pro. Both of these, just like the smaller M 3 model, have a large, attractive glass door, allowing you to see the flames dancing throughout the sauna room.<\/p>\n

For all our sauna stoves, we use Harvia's own protective walls and floor protection plates, which allows for a very small distance to combustible material. This means the sauna stove takes up as little space as possible in the sauna room, allowing us to maximise the use of space.
The chimneys we use are also from Harvia. The chimneys are CE-marked and manufactured in fully insulated stainless steel lengths. These have a very attractive finish that looks good even after a long time of diligent use.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Electric sauna heater<\/h2>\n

However, when it comes to our sauna cabins, some customers want an electric sauna stove. This is possible, but it's worth considering that the power output of a wood-burning sauna stove is significantly higher, making heating much quicker in winter. Starting the heating in winter, when temperatures might be below freezing, with an electric sauna stove takes time, and in such cases, it can be a good idea to have a low-level maintenance heat on in your sauna cabin. On the other hand, there are no problems getting the sauna cabin up to temperature quickly with an efficient wood-burning sauna stove, even when it's bitterly cold. Furthermore, the experience of a wood-fired sauna bath versus one heated by electricity is incomparable. The fact that you have a fire inside the sauna room does wonders for the oxygen supply and the type of heat. We will therefore only describe the wood-burning sauna stoves we use from now on.
